Eggzy--- is SO COOL---
That is if you like to see your eggs, eggs per week, cost per egg and cost per dozen. I enter eggs daily....
Granted it is 'beta' and that means that the software engineers are ironing out the bugz. (I used to work in the software industry).
I think that some of us don't know how to use it---thus it isn't maximized. My eggs versus the site's average look statistically incorrect, but I suspect that is because folks don't enter their eggs.
On my version-- the graph of my flock and the graph daily showing my eggs sometimes errors off. I need to contact the software developers. I am really charmed that the egg symbols for my various breeds have colors that match the shells. Smart move by Eggzy.
What I don't have a good handle on right now---is what my actual monthly costs are...because I have had my chickens for such a short time. I buy 50# of DE, but don't know how long that will last me. Same with some oyster shell-- 50# for $12-- will I use a pound a month? a week? what. It will be a while to get my statistics correct--- but I sure love this software that will show it up when I have it right.
That reminds me of a saying in the computer software world....'garbage IN, garbage out!'--- so my monthly stats are basically garbage at the moment. (should I add the cost of my coop, run, predator protection, chicken raising books--etc in the first month---becase that is when I spent it.) I guess these are questions for Eggzy. It is fun software IMO.
added Edit--> If you want the best accuracy 'gong forward' without having to enter month to date eggs...wait until the first of a month to start. It is possible to enter the back days of the month--- You just have to do it one breed at a time, one day at a time.
