I have the Eglu Go Up with 3M run. My three girls have been in it since May. They are very happy and healthy. All started laying between 18-20 weeks. I get about 20 eggs per week, even in summer temps near 100 and high humidity.
Pros:
-Easy to move, important if you want to tractor your chickens (we do).
-Great for small spaces.
-Super easy to clean. I just empty the droppings tray every morning and wipe down the roosts with a wet wipe. I line the tray with newspaper for even easier cleanup. Everything (except wipes) goes into the compost bin. I've never had problems with odor, which is good because my neighbors are 20' away!
-Happy chickens.
Cons:
-I feel the run is too small. We free-range for a few hours a day but when they are penned in it looks cramped to me. We are adding a 6x6 walk-in addition for the winter when then will be in the run for longer periods. I'll cover with heavy, clear plastic to insulate.
-Small coop. I wouldn't put more than 3 chickens in the coop. But being in a development, I'm not allowed more than 3 chickens!
-Expensive. BUT I have no time to build a coop at this stage of my life. The Eglu is durable and will last much longer than a wood coop so I think the $$$ spent is a good investment.
-I wish there was more than one nest box. All three chickens seem to lay at the same time each morning. But they've learned to take turns/share.
I love my Omlet. Fits my needs perfectly and my girls are healthy and happy. Good luck with your decision.
