I recently adopted a baby Egyptian goose, Ollie. When they are grown up, the males make a hissing sound, the females quack and honk. In the beginning, Ollie would only peep but now there are quacks coming through as well. I'll add a video of the quacking. Does anyone know if the quacking means that Ollie is a girl or do males also make these sounds when they're young?
And no worries, Ollie will get some friends when he or she is ready to go and live outside.

I adopted two more baby Egyptians and one of them (Willow) also started making the same quacking sounds as Ollie did in the video and turned out to be female as well. The other one (Quinn) never made a quacking sound, he only peeps. And now he's 3 months old and still peeps but the adult hissing sound is coming through as well sometimes. So he's a male.
