Goose or Gander?

Hi I have just bought home this beautiful chinese goose given to me by my lovely friend to keep my Gander company after losing his partner. We think it's a female due to her sound which is a low honk and behaviour but she is big in size and her knob looks biggish. What are your thoughts? Could she be too young to be showing male behaviour yet if she was a male?...she/he is just 6 months old she is the one on the left.

Ps..Doesn't matter to me either way if she's male or female I just wondered out of interest more than anything.

I have not owned Chinese. The neck look pretty long, but I know this breed in general has a longer neck. I generally look to neck length, and overall size, as well as any vocalizations.

Is your gander being protective of the new goose if so good sign for girl. With Chinese the true breed geese all have long necks but the chest to ground angle is lower with the girls. in the pic on the left it dose look lower. But its so hard to tell by pictures. As for the honk that's a good sign. Fingers crossed a girl but 2 boys can do well together also.
