Last summer we lost our only female goose, leaving us with a single Chinese gander. Fast forward to this year, I was preparing to find new goslings so we no longer have a lone goose, and the feedstore happened to have assorted goslings in stock (a very rare occasion, and I was hoping it would be better than having them shipped). One of the two I picked I initially thought to be a Toulouse, but in better lighting it is becoming increasingly clear to me that he is quite pale, especially his bill, leading me way more towards a male pilgrim. He is still quite darker than his white Chinese broodermate (pictured below him in the last image), which is what initially threw me off. Is there a chance I got lucky or are my fears of a second gander a reality?
