Eight new baby Blues - Orpingtons!

It's really amazing how fast these Blorps grow and how BIG they get. We are at only 12 weeks and just look at them!!



I have a friend with a bunch of mutt chickens and the Blorps are already bigger than 3/4 of his!

They're really pretty too! I love mine. I have a lavender Orpington rooster and he is just stunning! And I do think the orpington feathers are so soft.

When they get a bit older and the weather brings more sunny days I'll try to catch each of them add take them outside the pen for portraits.

The Blorps are now 18 weeks old and a LOT bigger than I expected. In addition, 4, maybe5, of them are roos!

So I would like to re-home 4 of them. I'm asking $20 and no shipping due to size and weather.

Such handsome boys! I bet they will look just like their Dad but wearing a blue coat

And orpingtons are such a docile breed --- they are great around children.

Well, I'm down to the bare minimum now!

The local feed store placed five of the Blue roos. Plus one went to a great friend with 200 chickens, she even left a Black Australorp hen as a trade. The little BA is the sweetest little lady and is working her way into the flock nicely.

I have Dumbledore and Reeta Skeeter still. Perhaps they will bring more Blue stock into the family.
