With the amount of money raised she can either retire or use it to hire a professional hit man. Either one works for me........

For those who are unsure, it's sarcasm.......

I think that the woman responded to the situation perfectly. Now I would like to see the parents of the children involved drag their children by their ears and have them publicly apologize to that woman.

I think the parents are going to be unhappy about finding a new way for their kids to get to school.

I'm glad she did nothing. If she had even raised her voice the parents would be suing the school.

The sad part? I bet those kids think they are "cool" now because of all the publicity they are getting..

I thought it was interesting that one of the parents, who apologized, couldn't believe that his own son could treat another human being that way. Sometimes, kids who seem decent and sensitive, will get a "pack mentality" when they are in a group, and will go along with the prevailing behavior even though they know it's wrong. At middle-school age, peer pressure is the worst ever, and kids are terrified of being singled out and ostracized. So, they do things they know they shouldn't, so they'll fit in with the pack.

What a shame. Those kids are just products of thier environment and a testimony to the sad shape some of our educational systems are in. Too bad she didn't have a taser. Thier parents need a boot in the butt also and need to know how thier kids are behaving.

This statement makes me cringe. A child's bad behavior DOES NOT reflect on their upbringing. I am a perfect example of that. I got into a lot of trouble, including drugs as a youngster and teen, and it was NOT my mother's fault. She did her best, what she knew how to do. Many parents these days are shell shocked by what goes on in school these days. Another example: when my son was 16, I found a boatload of booze bottles under his bed. Did I do that to him because I had to work full time? I think not.

I believe a lot of children these days follow the lead of a child who is just a problem period. The father of one of those kids taunting that poor woman was on the news this morning and that man was mortified.

That being said, yes, when a child is in a home where they are neglected, they are more likely to be that problem child. However, not all bad behavior can be blamed on the parents.
