electric fence

Can you put an electric fence on a steel building? I have a steel building that is infested with squirrels. Looking for an easy solution that will not poison them because my coop is near the building.


Building is 30x40 with 18' ceilling. Cement floor. There are holes all over the building. No heat in the building. I keep mowers and such in the building.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I imagine you can post electric fence around any type of building, but I'm sure someone else will help. However, does the building have any trees or other buildings within squirrel jumping distance? If so, electric fence around the building won't do you much good, they prefer to jump from place to place if they can. There are poisons that say on them that once they are ingested, they don't harm another animal ingesting the poisoned animal. My choice would be trapping or poison. and, btw I hate squirrels.

Yes, but I doubt they are climbing up the sides of the building​

the squirrels nest inside. eventually they climb the I beams and roof.
