The neighbors did put two of the three down the afternoon after the attack. All of the sudden, one of the two was now aggressive when they went in to take care of them, so it probably made it easier on the wife who rescued them from a shelter. The one allowed to survive apparently saved the wife from an attack from a two legged predator several years ago and couldn't say yes to her being put down. The husband wanted to do it on the spot, but knew he needed to give his wife time to work through it first. It's complicated, but that's the jist of it.
I'm getting ready to build a larger coup and my brain is in overdrive trying to take all things into consideration now.
