Electrical wire question

I just bought an antler chandelier from Home Depot. I know very little about wiring and had planned on plugging it into the outlet in the corner of the living room. However ... no plug!

Is it possible to buy a plug and splice it into the wire?

If its just lights then yes that should work fine.

And he was able to take the cord on the old lamp and splice it into the new one.
