electrolytes for my chickies?

Is there something that I can make at home to help rehydrate my new chicks when they come in? Or is it something that needs to be purchased at the feed store? Thanks!

If they are shipped chicks ..alittle bit of sugar water for one day will help give them some energy...no longer as it gives a runny poo...

Vits & Electrolytes powder can be purchased at feedstores..durvets is a good brand.....

Can you tell me right off hand what the ratio sugar : water is. I seen it on here but can't remember where.
