Electrolytes in duck pool and water bowls?

Why? Electrolytes are salts, yes salts, look up the definition. They are called electrolytes because ions in water conduct electricity. The main ones in those packets are sodium chloride (tablet salt) and potassium chloride (sold as “no salt” in the grocery store. We give them to people who lose a lot of sweat, salty sweat, and to poultry during intense heat who lose SOME from drinking a lot and therefor going to the bathroom a lot. Personally, I have never given my ducks electrolytes and would only if one were sick and had diarrhea. Please don’t believe the people who sell the packets. Ducks have been surviving hot weather a lot longer than they have been around.
