Electronic Cigarettes

Ok, we bought them from a smoke shop. The kit had two cigs, a computer charger and wall charger and 5 filters. For $70. I smoke menthols so I bought a pack of 5 menthol filters for $10. And no odor in the house. What you expel is a vapor. Not smoke, though it looks and feels just like smoking. Since 3 pm today neither of us have had a real cigarette.

I'd give $70.00 in a heartbeat to quit smoking. My only bad habit and I hate it.

Go through pack a day Marlboro. Most of them half smoked, ground out in my one
and only ash tray. She doesn't allow me to smoke in "her" house...only "my" office.
I've tried chewing gum, sucking on hard candy. Nope.

Spooky I cannot recommend this more. I am not the one that wanted to quit. I was ok with smoking, and here I am the converted believer!!! DO IT!!!! My chest doesn't feel heavy, there is no craving because it delivers nicotine, but no tar or chemicals. DO IT!!!

My dh but those at a truck stop. They broke pretty quick, but he was sent new parts. I watched him puff away and said,"Lemme try it" Took a hit,was just like a cigarette, and then I got sick to my stomach. Now whenever I just SEE that darn thing on the table I get queasy. I quit smoking 11 years ago with dd.

I wondered if those things really worked. I'm not a smoker and never have smoked a day in my life. That's great if they work. Second hand cigarette smoke literally makes me sick (severe congestion, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, and all of those other fun symptons). Feels like a full blown cold. When I see someone smoking, I go the other way and try to avoid the smoke. It would be nice to see people smoking those things and I wouldn't have to suffer from inhaling the terrible fumes. Second hand smoke kills.

That seems like it would be cheaper than smoking, in the long run, as well as healthier, of course. I've never been a smoker, but I can imagine that they must be very helpful if you want to quit. I saw those in the mall the other day and told my friend I was going to buy her one for Christmas, lol. She is an occasional smoker but I just hate seeing her light up. She already has cancer and I don't want her health do decline any more.

I got on an elevator once with a person who had one of these and I had to laugh a little, as they stood there smoking the thing. It ran through my mind that they must have been truly addicted to need that thing on a elevator and of course, it was odd to see "smoking" since we've been a smoke free state for so long. It didn't bother me that they were doing it (except I don't want my kids to get any ideas), but I thought it was weird.

I wonder can a person light those electronic cigarettes up in a restaurant or a store since smoking is prohibited in many places of business. It's not really "smoke", so it wouldn't bother anyone. Don't ya think?

These are really cool! I'm not a smoker, but I did a lot of research about them around this time last year because I wanted to buy one for my father for Christmas. For the person that wants to buy one, there is so much information to learn about them (so many different kinds of devices and different kinds of liquids for them, places to buy them, etc.) Here is a good forum for those interested in electronic cigarettes:

There
is a wealth of information here, much like the wealth of info that at chicken enthusiast can find at the BYC!

Oh, one of the pieces of info that I gleaned from that forum is that the mall is not a good place to buy these things. The mall kiosks tend to sell lower quality products at much higher prices. You are better off going to online venders. If anyone is interested I can give you the names of some of the online companies that I found when I was purchasing my fathers e-cig stuff. Just let me know and I can send you the links.
