Elevating chicken coop

I wouldn't put a coop more than 18-24 inches up because I'm short and don't want to have to climb to reach into it. :D Your height may vary.

If your coop is solid like the one shown, I suggest pulling the boards out of the gable end and replacing them with hardware cloth -- adding awnings as needed to keep rain out. Ventilation and elbow room are key to keeping chickens in good health. :)

How will raising it improve ventilation.....and safety?
Pics of your actual coop would help here.
I’ve seen articles saying it can help with air flow, whether it’s true or not it’s more convenient for me and can’t do no harm. Typically, whilst it isn’t impossible, it makes it slightly harder for foxes to get to your chicken coop if it is 3ft off the ground (the ramp would be removable so there would be no access at night)
I have no pictures as I’m away for couple days and have none on my phone

Cinderblocks might be cheaper, but a proper deck would be more sturdy - 4 corner posts, framed together, then simple floor on top, coop framed in on top of the floor. My chickens never cared for ramps, but they love a good set of steps! I'd make it at least 18" high (from the ground to the underside) so that the chickens could dust bathe/have some shade underneath it.
