Saffrons feathers are no longer barred. I could fit 5 of them in my hand (if I had 5) on hatch day. Now saffron's getting so chunky I can barely fit him in one hand.

You might be wondering what kind of disaster struck my beloved bowl of food and left it looking like this within one day. They're called 3 week old chicks.

Absolutely bonkers!!! I wish they would stay tiny fluffy nuggets and never grow until one day they go POOF and suddenly become a big chicken and poops out an egg.

Quail mature at 8 weeks I believe. And they stay small
