Hi Folks.
My family and I live in Northern NJ and I am looking to get into raising chickens, first for eggs then hopefully for meat in the not too distant future.
I am currently working on turning a barn stall into a chicken coop and reading as much as I can about how to raise a small flock to start…probably 10-15 birds.
I have researched a number of birds now and have narrowed down my choices to...
Rhode Island Reds, Ameraucana, Astralorp and New Hampshire's.
I'm looking forward to learning from all youse.
