Email alerts?

ok animals I can handle - Technical stuff not so much. How do I set up my profile so that when I get responses to my posts I get an email alert or something.

If you subscribe to the thread (An option given just before you hit submit, right above the submit button) you will get an alert. Then, when you log on, look at the very bottom of the page and and you'll have an option to look at your subscribed topics.

I do it by individual thread, not in my profile.

How about responding to a specific persons comments? Sorry to bother - is this info somewhere on the forum?
