I have a chance to get some embden goslings I was wondering if y'all could give me your experience? How's there temprament, noise, egg laying, broodiness, etc? Thanks everyone!

they are probably the most common but we love ours!
Production of eggs-we seem to have goose eggs every 2-3 days during the late Jan-Early May laying season. The daddies get a bit more aggressive during this time but nothing horrible.
Broody-Most will start sitting towards the end of their cycle. One of ours did the other didn't BUT let me tell you they are GREAT mothers!
Temperment-They are geese lol. So yes they are a bit nosy and like to "*****" at you. However when we kneel to their level and talk to them they tend to lighten up on you a bit. They are actually pretty quiet overall for geese. Only when they are "having a fit" do you even know they are around. Not sure what causes this but sometimes its more comical than a problem lol.

I like their protection they give me over my other birds. I feel much better knowing they are in charge when we are gone. Our guardian dogs are great and watch the flock but the geese run them out of their area(so no worries of a fox for sure!)

I have a breeding pair of Embdens that are a little over a year old. I have found them to be great geese, but the gander has needed a firm hand. The goose laid 40 eggs this year. None of them hatched, but that was my fault. The goose stayed on the nest 35 days before I took the eggs. They are generally quiet, but if they are seperated they get very loud calling for each other.
