700

This picture is ok? Thanks for your kind information..:)

hii! that goose only sitting on nest not laying eggs. but i wish she will lay eggs soon. i am now also confused ! this is pair ? what you think?
She is practicing lol looks to me like it won't be long though if she is going in and sitting some.. That is so cute.. I have been seeing mine go inside all the houses checking things out too and mine won't start back laying till next Feb. Geese usually begin to lay the next year after hatch most of the time. around 9 months old on.

Yes lets see lol.. always exciting when you have birds or any animal actually..

@naaif I forgot to ask have you seen any mating from yours yet. Usually mating starts before eggs come if you have a pair.Do they have a pool for mating? geese like to mate in water.

I don't mean to be mean but what is up with their beaks their like hooks. I have a tufted female Embden and a standard male... unless they are Romans... anyway I can tell the gender somewhat by their behavior. The male(or the dominant male I only have 2 geese) will often stand tall, head up and practically strut his stuff. The females are often low and seem to always be grazing. You can also tell by their voices. The male tends to make loud long honks while the female makes somewhat higher pitched honks with many honks in one.

Thank you, it's nice to have friends from different countries that we can share our knowledge and love of birds with.

If they are trying to breed it's all part of a learning process, you've probably heard the term Practice makes perfect? well that is what is going on with your geese right now. They'll get it worked out.
