"I'll get it," Jude said, walking to the door and opening it.

In front of the doorway stood a young woman around Dennis' age, with smooth, light olive toned skin and slight freckling underneath her deep blue eyes. She wore her hair of dark brunette and lighter streaks down in elegant curls with a casual short black dress, acessorized with a warm leather coat and booties. "Hey," she said in an unfamiliar accent. "Is Dennis here?"

"Oh, yeah, hold on." Jude said, looking at the strange woman curiously. "Dennis, someone's here to see you." Said Jude quietly as she walked into the kitchen.

"Oh..." he said, peeking over towards the doorway from the kitchen. "Is it Belinda?..."

"My half-sister," he said, stifling a chuckle as she glared. "Don't worry about it, Jude..."

"Oh, that explains it." Jude replied, joining in on his chuckling. "Well, you shouldn't keep her waiting." She finally said, walking back into the kitchen to check up on the food.

Dennis let her in, and she instantly plopped down onto the couch with a sigh, watching whatever was on TV and hoping she was not the only one invited. Within minutes, several tires and engines could be heard rumbling down the driveway, along with headlights shining into the windows.

"I'm gonna go change now, make sure nothing burns." Jude said, looking Dennis in the eye jokingly as she headed to their bedroom.

He grinned, and continued to cook. Suddenly a flood of people, both friends and family, barged in. "Hey!" yelled a few.

"Oh, hey guys," said Dennis with the smile still intact on his face. "Do whatever while I finish this."

A few minutes later, Jude stepped out with a large grin on her face. Her dress was a simple knit turtle neck style, fitting her form elegantly around her waist. Jude had pulled her hair up into a loose bun, letting a few springy curls to fall next to her face. She had put on a small amount of make-up, giving her a more natural, yet beautiful look. Her high-heels made small clopping noises on the hardwood floor as she greeted all the guests.
