"Oh, thank you!" She said.

Thank you! I'm the oldest of three, but the last time someone was born I was 4, so, y'know...

Most of my friends are only children, too.

"No problem," Jude said. "You're welcome to stay for breakfast."

Yeah, I helped my Mom practically raise my three youngest siblings, like, since I was six, so I know my way around the baby world.
tongue.png
Not that I like it though, I'd prefer it if I didn't know my way around.

"Hey, I don't want to be a bother. I'm not really sure I should eat anyway..." Bridget said with a grin.

lol.png
At least you're not as squeamish around diapers as I probably am.

I'm going to be terrible when I have kids.

"Oh, no, it isn't a problem at all. If you don't want to stay, thats fine."

I usually leave the diapers up to my parents.

"Darn it, I have a doctor's appointment! Gotta get blood drawn. I hope they don't freak about the hangover..." She said with a lopsided grin. "Better go before I'm late... Bye!" She waved and started for the door.

"Okay, see ya!" Jude called as Bridget went out the door.

Bridget, having cleaned herself up and changed, hummed along to the country music playing in her truck. "Oops, St. Joseph's to the right..." She turned the truck and found a good spot in the parking lot. Bridget combed through her hair with her fingers once again before hopping out of the truck and strolling into the hospital. She turned left to the reception office. "Bridget *Insert last name that I've forgotten*, I have an appointment at 10?" she said, making it a question. "Yep, your number still ***-***- ****?" Bridget nodded. "Alright, the doctor will see you soon. Take a seat." Bridget found a spot and cracked open a random magazine. After a few minutes, the door to the waiting room opened. "Bridget *Insert last name here*," A nurse's voice said. Bridget stood. "Why don't you follow me and I'll take you to your room."

Bridget sat on top of the examination table, feeling slightly like a child. "Okay, now it's time to draw your blood. We'll need two samples," The nurse said. Bridget nodded. The nurse rubbed her arm with rubbing alcohol (or whatever they use
tongue.png
) before poking a needle into her skin, on the inside of her elbow into a major vein. She drew the blood out slowly, and Bridget's stomach flipped once as the bag filled up with blood. Finally, the nurse took out the needle. "All right, one down, one to go." Bridget turned away this time, as her stomach was already doing somersaults. The nurse took the needle out of her sore arm. "It's going to be sore for a few days. The first test should give us results in about 5 minutes, so we ask you to stay here for that one." The nurse looked at her, expecting an answer. "Fine by me," Bridget said, touching her sore arm. The nurse smiled. "The doctor will be back with results in five minutes." With that, she walked out the door.

Bridget picked up a magazine. It was an outdated issue of Horse & Rider. She, having already read it, placed it back on the shelf and sighed. She tapped her foot, feeling strangely energetic compared to earlier, and looked up at the ceiling. Several minutes ticked by sluggishly before there was finally a quick knock on the door. A tall man walked into the room, his expression solemn. "Bridget ______?" he asked. Bridget nodded. He closed the door behind him. "Hello, Bridget, I'm Dr. Woodsman." She forced a smile, sensing something was wrong. "We have some good news for you! You tested negative for high blood pressure, blot clots, and the other concerns we had. Nurse Sanchez said that you were experiencing nausea earlier today?" Bridget nodded. "Yes, but I was drinking a little at a dinner party the night before," She said sheepishly, though she was of age. The doctor nodded. "Well, with the morning sickness and all, I decided to perform a further test." Bridget's heart began to race nervously. No... It's not that. It can't be. "Bridget, you're pregnant."
