Has anybody ever received eggs with an embryo already growing? All other eggs look normal, this one clearly has an embryo. Looks to be about day 3-5. No movement, so I'm guessing it's a quitter, but not stinky, so in the bator it goes for now.

If there is no blood ring to indicate an embryo quit I would say it is a large meat or blood spot......not an incubated egg.

dood on you put it in the bator and see what happens.

ive heard of something like the hatchery incubates the eggs for like 18 days then they ship them on day 18 and they have a heater pack in with the eggs to keep them incubataing.... then when you get them they are hatching or will be hatching soon. .....i dont think id ever do that.... but id crack it open and see it might be a fart egg inside ive heard of people getting two eggs in one. if theyre isnt a vein theyre isnt a chick.

I ended up cracking it open a few minutes ago. It was a very large meat spot, complete with a scrambled yolk.

oh porr egg. i tossed a leghorn the otherday with a scrambled yolk. that makes me feel so dissiliusioned.

forr guy. . too bad. what type were they anyways ?? Goodluck with your hatch.

They are silkie eggs, from candling looks like quite a few scrambled yolks (post office beat of the box), and almost all have detached air cells, but I put them in the bator anyways and hoping for the best!
