i candled my eggs that i got from trader joe's (fertile). most are developing, (2 of the 3 that i candled) were developing, but stuck on one side of the egg. they only have veins on one side of the egg and if i turn the egg, the veins wont move but the embryo in the middle move but stop because they are attached to the veins. does this mean my hen isn't turning her eggs?? this is her first clutch ?? shes a 10 month old cochin

How many days have they been incubating? Early in incubation, the embryo attaches itself to one side of the egg and that's where it stays until it's large enough to fill the whole thing. Turning helps to exercise the embryo and prevent older babies from sticking to the side.

If you have embryos that are "free floating," THEN you have a problem.

They sound normal to me. Congrats.
