I woke up and went to care for my old english bantams.
I noticed the hen laying like this with her mouth drowning water and blood

Poor hen. I am not sure what the source of the blood is. Did you check her over for any wounds around the neck or breast that caused internal bleeding? Or maybe she ate something sharp. Does she show discomfort, when you press her crop? I wish I knew how to help more.

I toched her craw and she did seem to show discomfort.I have not given her and gripple yet we just got her and her rooster.

Not an attack and blood coming from both ends all of a sudden? Sounds too serious. Sometimes a mercy euthanasia is better for the bird.

I have great news:weee she stop bleeding and started eating again!I am in aw:eek:.I put orster shells in the food for her craw.I am thrilled she made it through!

could she have bonked her head? Flown into a wall or something? Maybe it's a silly question, but I am glad she is doing better
