EMERGENCY! 2-days old chick has splayed legs and bruised

If the chick has mushy chick disease or infection of the yolk sack, it may not live. But you may want to clean the navel with Betadine or Equate First Aid Solution (Walmart) first. A splayed leg hobble can be made with a strip of vet wrap to bring the legs closer together, about 1 1/2 inch or less apart. I have also used a bandaid cut lengthwise. Change it daily, and it may take 3 days for the chick to walk normally.

For Mushy Hatch. As another person said, Most likely won't live. You can put Iodine on it, it worked a little bit for us

I'm so sorry <3 exactly what happened to mine. But we had to put her down 1 or 2 days after she hatched

Oh, I'm so sorry. I've been through losing chicks countless times, it's never easy. Know that baby is now flying free in heaven.
