Loops around the wings then pull back over the tail to the butt fluff.

I suppose that it might depend on the size of the chicken - looking at the ones I picked up, it'd have to be a full-size bird to fit without adjustment. The *good* news is the ones I got at least were layered in a fan-style, which can be pulled out to cover more, and have a wire (which normally would conform to your nose) which I imagine could be curved to conform to the chicken's body a little better to prevent accidents. Also, you might shorten up your loops a little.
Maybe play with it a little?
