Sorry that I don't have the time to go through all of the threads looking for a previous one on this topic. My girls are about 10 weeks old (and huge to me). My husband was supposed to get some feed before he went out of town, but I just realized that he didn't. I can't get to the feed store tonight. What can I feed them to tide them over until tomorrow? I have tried greens in the past, but these spoiled girls just look at them...same for cut up grapes and apples.

I'm cooking up some rice right now. Unfortunately I don't have brown, just white. I'd give them Cheerios, but my kids only like the Honey Nut kind right now and our sunflower seeds have salt. Thank you!!!!

You can also give them scrambled or hard boiled eggs and shredded carrots. Mine LOVE romaine lettuce.

If you have nothing to feed them and want to maintain protein, eggs are a great option. Or mealworms.

I generally will give scrambled eggs to my birds who are sick or injured but it would also work in a situation when you need to pull together a chicken meal with what you have in your frig.

I totally forgot about eggs! DUH!! I will scramble up some of those to mix in with the rice, too. Add some goooood protein for the poor girls. They'll hope we forget the feed more often.

hehehe Don't have enough mealworms to suffice for a "meal". Was planning on adding those to the mix, too. Hope they won't get stomaches...

Thank you!
