I don't want to be fearful, but in case of an emergency... what would you recommend keeping in a "just in case" bag/kit? (types of ointments, etc)

Antibiotic ointment (no pain relievers in it though!)
Vetericyn
Vet wrap
Band aids
Poultry Cell
Nutridrench
Small syringes to feed Poultry Cell etc, I like the 3ml size
Iodine or Betadine
Styptic powder
Epsom salt (egg bound, bumble foot etc)
Antibiotics if you can get some
Medistatin or Monistatin for yeast infections
Vitamin E oil or pills
Calcium pills or Tums

If you can get your hands on some DMSO, that stuff is miracle. There's a food grade and a topical, I mostly use topical for scratches, cuts, open wounds, bruises, even broken bones. I think they sell it at TSC. It reduces inflammation, carries away toxins (like from infection) and helps carry other ointments and treatments through the skin. This is what the container I use looks like (this is the topical)
