I have a pet magpie chicken that is 15 weeks old and may or may not lay eggs i don’t know which one is it yet.
i heard a load of clicking and screaming outside and my older hen, Oreo and my 15 week old large sussex was clucking and calling out.
so i looked and saw a fox come and it was in broad daylight and it had grabbed it and ran off. i ran out the door and chased it as fast i could and shouted at it.
it tried jumping the fence but with no success, i caught up and it ran off.
i grabbed the injured chicken and put it beside the coop. ngl i was pretty shook up so i was looking around to make sure it was not around.
my other chicken had escaped so i got that and put my other chickens under a large bucket each and put bricks on it. now their in my garage.
what shall i do now with our injured one, i can let it die and all vets are closed.
it has very small puncture marks on its lower back and it treated it with antiseptic.
any herbs or ANY remedy to keep it alive for even a day.
(VETS ARE ALL CLOSED BC OF COVID-19)

Thank you very much, yes the cut is not too bad I told everyone it’s s
shock with chickens.
but can they catch some infection?
it does have a compainion but I don’t want it to peck it.
can they get dieses from this fox.
could I get a desease by handling my chicken?

No. Birds can’t get rabies. But wash your hands, they do carry salmonella.

I've never gotten anything from a fox and I've handled a many over the years but I'd wash up real good.

Foxes don't wear a watch. I've trapped and shot them at all times of the day and night.
