It looks like a wound, I agree. How long has it been there? (Approximately) Have you done anything with it yet? Treatment, manipulation. The skin looks split at the base, am I correct with what I see.

Well, when they were younger someone put zip ties around there legs, to no which ones were which. they grew out of control, and grew over the zip-ties... injuring them, making a mark. Not sure if this has anything to do with it though?? I can post another pic...

If that's the case, scar tissue is not as elastic as healthy tissue. It may be a rupture on the location of the zip tie. Which it look like I can see the ring around the leg where the problem is. I'm not sure what you can do at this point other than cleaning and disinfect. If you have an avian vet in your area that may be the best option.
There may be underlying problems with blood vessels and nerves

Zip tie makes sense. It may have abscessed. I'd say it needs a thorough cleaning and flushing to remove any pus in the wound (and that's what it looks like to me), it has to all be gotten out, chicken pus is very firm, like hard cheese. Soak it in warm epsom salts or a diluted chlorhexidine bath for about 20 minutes and it may help loosen it some to make it easier to clean out. You can flush with sterile saline, diluted chlorhexidine, or distilled water. This looks like what bumblefoot does to the foot pad. Then put some neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment on it. It will need to be kept clean. If it develops any swelling or redness then it might require antibiotics, but if it's cleaned well it may heal up fine. A vet is always the best option, if it's an option. There is not a lot of meat there on the leg, so it will have to be thoroughly, but carefully done.

Thanks so much!:thumbsup

Dang, that is one big chicken leg! What type of chicken?
In the first pic, it looks like the breast feathers are missing. Is this anything you are concerned about?
