Emergency Help!!!!! my baby goat has curled hoves when born!!what do I do

Babies with hooves are born with a soft covering on their hooves, that does curl (in baby horses it looks almost like tentacles, for extra weirdness)
It will dry up and fall off, which also panics people. But all that is totally normal.

If his ankles (called pasterns) are turned so he can't straighten out, that is from being curled up tight in the womb. A dose of Bo-Se gel helps, along with gently massaging and straightening (don't force!!!). Some babies need a soft brace.

Can baby stand? Have they gotten to nurse yet? If not, you may have to help them stand so they can nurse. They need the colostrum ASAP after birth.
If mama goat is being difficult, you can tie her to a post or put her on the milking stand to make her let the kid nurse. If she kicks at the kid, tie her rear leg up & out, so she can’t kick.

A great resource for goat keepers is The Goat Spot*. You can choose to post in either Health & Wellness or Kidding Corral sub-forum (one or the other, not both... if the moderators think it would be best to be in another sub-forum, they’ll move it & let you know) I’d probably put it in Kidding Corral, since baby was just born.

There are LOTS, really lots, of goat gurus over there that will walk you thru whether it’s something you need to do something for. And if they’re needed, they can tell you how to make braces/supports out of things you probably have already, or can get easily.

Be sure to have pictures to post! Without pix it’s much harder to know for sure that what is being described isn’t being misunderstood.

RiverOtter‘s probably correct... but again without pictures it’s hard to be sure. (Do you post over there too, RO?

*(I hope that’s ok to post... :hmm Not sure why it wouldn’t be, it’s not a commercial or retail-type site— just a owners-helping-owners site like this one...)
