I am not sure what to do for this little one ANY advice is welcome. Yesterday this little one was super spry and full of life then I came home from work to a mess. I feel terrible I don't know why momma did it I don't know if I can save it. But I want to try if it's even a viable option. I've never had babies before, this was an accidental clutch.

Sorry this happened. It's always a shock. :hugs How old is this little guy? Are you sure it was the mom who did this and not another cockbird in the loft?

You can try handfeeding him. Maybe you can get some Kaytee baby bird formula for this?

another cockbird in the loft
That is my thinking. That is why it is a good idea to have breeding cages. It keeps outsiders (other pigeons in same loft) out.
@Cumbersome Eloquence :hugs,, sorry to see this happen. That lil guy may survive if not being hurt by mom. ( offender can be different pigeon):idunno Try to separate pigeon and parent from rest of flock.
WISHING YOU BEST ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome

Maybe hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip to clean the wounds. Clindamyacin is a good medication for healing without bacterial infections. I’m not a dr. Just used to work in the medical field and now of some cross over remedies and meds. If it’s a healthy baby it may just pull through the pecking that happened. I would definitely separate with mama or if not with mama. To keep it warm.
Would love to see how it does.

Where there is life there is hope. You can feed him warm egg yolk through a syringe for now. It's eyes are open so that tells me it is about 7+- days old. You can make a warm paste out of layer pellets. I would blame this scalping on a male pigeon personally. I monitor and isolate the hen and baby and see if she will except, incubate, and feed it first.

I agree with all above. I'm so sorry this happened. If at all possible, put an cage over the nest with the parents and the young with them. I also think it was a male pigeon.
