So a few days ago the dogs broke into the coop yard, sadly two silkies were killed but my golden sex link got away with a minor wound on her hind end and a limp. The wound has healed up nicely with some home doctoring! The limp has seem to have gotten worse, she doesn't seem to want to walk at all now and what little she does she spreads her wing out for balance. I'm becoming very worried about her. She wont even get up to go to the bathroom, she just goes where she is laying and then spends the rest of the time laying in it, which is very upsetting as well.

So please if anyone has any suggestions let me know, other wise I'm afraid that I will have to put her down... :(

That is very sad! Your hen might have suffered from a fracture or dislocation. Most likley she is not walking on it because it causes pain. You could have a vet look at it and determine if it can be repaired. That might be just too pricey though. Putting her down would be the humane thing to do if her injuries are too severe for a normal life. I am so sorry to say that and I would be devistated if I had to make that decission for one of my hens.

Sad, sad.....

Thank you for the kind words and advice, sadly I had to make the difficult decision to put her down.
