Rescued a pigeon with hurt eye! What should I do?

Can you contact your local humane or wildlife association. They would be best to treat a wild bird. Is there anything in the eye? Saline or eye wash can irrigate an injured eye, and Teramycin eye ointment can be applied to the eye, but I would try to find help and not treat the pigeon myself.

So we still have her at home. Here eye is looking a lot better now. She was been drinking and gave her some feed.

If in the states... most places consider pidgeons as an invasive species and wildlife rehabs will feed them (to other animals) or euthanize. I now have a pet pideon after rescuing her. I contacted the Chicago pidgeon rescue who walked we through how to care for her. Terramycin may help!
