So sorry to hear this rosemi78. I was rootin for that little girl! You just can't help but root for the underdogs. Not to be too nosey, but it sounds like the broody could use a bit of rest,,,

. Best of luck with your next hatch! We have some due around the second weekend in March and starting to get anxious. I just hope we have as much sucess as you've had.

Sally, I honestly have no clue what kinds of chickens I have. I need to post some pictures and get some help identifying them. The owner of the company I work for came over about 6, 7 weeks ago and dropped 22 off. There are WAY too many roosters (like maybe 14) and I added 2 more hens to the batch. I call my eggs my little "mutts" since they could really be a cross of just about anything...

The last 2 eggs are going to get float tested today. I was going to do it yesterday, but I ran out of time... Then I guess I will clean and sanitize the incubator and start hatch #2 on Monday...

oh... well tell me what happens.
