One of my Wyandotte pullets has been doing this for 2 days now. I've been looking online and found no help so far. I swabbed her throat and there's no sign of Gape Worms, the q-tip is clean. Her crop feels empty too.

Please see the video and let me know what you think.

She could have something stuck in her throat. Gapeworm isn't that common and I don't think it would just come out on a Qtip. You'd have to have something ON the Qtip to dislodge it. If you give her a BB size portion of fenbendazole/panacur/safeguard, it will kill gapeworm, if that was even the case. Have you looked down her throat? Syringed oil into her mouth to ease down something stuck?

I read online that it was a good way to check for gape worm so i figured it was worth a try. I tried oil yesterday and massaging her crop and throat but there was no improvement.

I am sure i'll get 'shamed' for this but about a half hour ago I gave her some liquid wormer that I use for my mouse cat. I couldn't remember the exact name but i thought it was something-mectin so i figured it was worth seeing if it helped. She seems to have quieted down with the squalk noises but I will have to wait and see.

With the fenbendazole, is it possible to use it that way on the rest of the flock as a one shot wormer? I have Piperazine but I know it doesn't cover them all.

I just cut back on birds drastically so reduce some stress and make things easier and now it seems like they're all rebelling and making it a million times more stressful than it ever was before!

I separated her into a small pen so I can keep an eye on her, I put some Olive Oil down her throat and she seemed a little better after, ate and drank and I've been monitoring her since and she's started making the horrible noise again(like shes being strangled) and she's also shaking her head now when she does it.

It seems like there must be something stuck in her throat. Is there a way I can safely open her throat up? I have a general idea of where "it" might be at, there's a spot that seems kind of tender to her and she chokes when i touch it.

Just wanna make her better, she looks miserable. :(

If she's eating and drinking I wouldn't go cutting on her. Does she make that noise when she is let out of the pen too? Also check her ears to make sure she doesn't have anything in them. I had a serama I thought had gape worm but when I was checking her throat I noticed the crud in her ear and once that was out she was fine.
