Someone abandoned their pekins duck at a pond and it's been out for a week. We're rescuing it today but we're afraid it might be a drake. We already have a bad porportion of drake to duck since we have two drakes and three ducks (used to have four but she drowned). This is an emergency situation as no one else will rescue this poor thing let alone take it in. Would it be okay for me to introduce another drake in the flock even though it would be a 1:1 ratio of duck to drake?

you could make a bachelor flock, because even 3:2 will not work. the boys will get along if no girls are in with them. they may fight at the beginning but that happens when introducing girls too

We have no space to separate them and my two drakes currently get along fine. We used the other space we have for our chickens.

There's no one willing to that's close to us unfortunately :/. We're pretty good at coming up with pens, but we just need a temporary situation

I admire that you want to save this duck. I want you to save him, too. I think putting him in with your flock is too risky, though. I think it endangers your girls.

You could try Nextdoor or Craigslist, or here as a place to advertise him as needing a home.
