Emergency run being built.

Hi.

Up until now my chickens have been totally free ranging, but two of my naughty dogs have decided they want to chase them, and I am worried they could get hurt. My son and I are building a run out of 6 ft by 3 ft aluminium panels. There is enough to make an outdoor run measuring 15 ft by 21 ft. Is this going to be big enough for them?

You don't mention how many chickens you have, so it is impossible to advise you on whether 15' x 21' will be adequate.

I am so sorry. I have seven chickens. 5 large fowl and 2 normal size silkies.

You are building 315 square feet. 70 square feet would be a minimum standard, so you should be fine.
