Does she have the gape worms? How can you tell?

Okay. Have you ever fed her corn on the cob or watermelon before?

She may have a seed or kernel lodged in her throat. She probably won't die from it but if a kernel is somewhere on the throat wall, it could be causing extreme discomfort. That would make sense, since she is obviously trying to get something out.

How is she? Did she make it?

She seems better this morning after giving her a shot of Tylan last night. Not sure if the Tylan helped or if she had something in her throat that dislodged itself. She has had corn on the cob and seedless watermelon before. They get them as treats almost everyday. Hopefully she does not start gaping again. I will be keeping a close eye on her!

I am guessing she probably had a corn kernel stuck down there and it got washed away. Pretty common problem. That would explain why she seemed to be trying to dislodge something but wasn't dying or anything. Keep us posted!
