Emergency!

I applied with neosporin and bandaged up and will keep inside until hopefully regains strength and starts growing, id rather the hassle of introduction to the flock than losing the chick.

Edited to ask. Should I set up the heat lamp for it? Or would the heat be bad for the cut? I’m using a beanie for it right now.

Yes, Original Neosporin is fine to apply to the wound.
I would also inspect that chick for other injuries and/or abraded skin. The wing?

A 2 day old chick needs a heat source - one spot in your brooder set-up needs to be warm and let the rest be cool. Place food/water on the cool side of the brooder.

If she's inside, then I would aim for 85-90F for her warm spot, see if she's comfy at that temp. You don't want her chilled. Keep her drinking, then see if she will eat some wet soupy chick starter.

I hope all goes well for you.

Thank you. Yes, we put neosporin on the wing as well. The wing looks no where as bad as the neck 🤦🏻‍♂️...she’s still drinking very well on her own. Very off balance though. I fed her just now for the third time. I’m feeding her souped up chick starter, with a syringe.

Let us know how she gets along.
If you have some Poultry Nutri-Drench, I would give her 2-3 drops twice a day for a few days to see if that helps with her balance.

is there an alternative to nutri-drench That is usually available in feed stores like the red store? Forgot if we’re allowed to mention store names here or not. But is there? No one seems to have nutri-drench in stock.

Edited to ask. Is Sav-A-Chick an alternative? Currently she’s taking Duvret Vitamins and electrolytes for poultry. That’s what I have on hand. Should I give Sav-A-Chick instead? I think neither have zinc or iron in them. Would poultry cell be a good alternative?

Is this what you have on hand? If so, then I would give that.
I do like Poultry Cell and keep it on hand, but I also keep the Durvet as well. Either one will be fine.
With the Durvet, provide for about 1/2 a day, then switch to plain water each day since it has electrolytes.

ok thanks. I have that but in a bottle form, and a scoop inside it. I was able to hold the last poultry cell bottle at the store, But she’s getting weeker and won’t stand on her own anymore. So I think she’s on her way out. I will keep trying though.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that :(
How is she doing now?
