So my peachick was playing with one of my socks and it got the elastic stuck inside him so my sister tried to cut it off and it’s been shaking it’s head every now and then. It also has been drooling and sleeping every once in a while too. And my sister read that when that happens birds usually die but at the same time when I looked at the article she was reading it showed for small birds and he’s not that small but still I’m scared, idk what to do

Look down the throat and see if the elastic has gotten wrapped around the tongue. I have seen where a string has done that and when the string was swallowed it pulled the tongue down the throat.
