Emergency!!

I did lots of research!! And my chickens have had discoloration on their combs. I treated it with molasses and it worked great! If flushes out toxins replace lost vitamins and minerals and is good for overall health. This will just give the rooster a boost.
Show me actual medical studies that prove this.

That was talking about broiler chickens, and the molasses reducing feed cost.

It also says that it didn't seem to help much. "There were no significant differences at all level (P>0.05) of adding beet molasses as source of energy among four experimental groups for the parameter studied: body weight, body weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion"

This is just how I interpreted it, though.

Add Apple Cider to its water. This is good to do all the time, but will especially help now to give your rooster a boost. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...bCbbwyQ_fS9Ai1OIfj64_R16XaE8OlqIaAqSDEALw_wcB

This link is great for keeping mites and parasites out of the coop and off of the chickens. YOu can either dust the chickens' feathers and skin with this or sprinkle lots in the run and coop for when they take dust baths. This is very important and is maybe what your rooster has. If parasites are not treated quickly it may lead to anemia.

It may be spring and your chicken is getting lots of pollen in its respiratory system. This may lead to respiratory issues and can sometimes cause a purple comb. I recommend cleaning out your coop. Though there is really nothing you can do with the pollen, airing out the dust from their coop is very helpful. Make sure to keep a clean coop.

Just for extra health, I recommend adding garlic and turmeric to their feed for a little while. This will help with anti-inflammatory, immune health, and antibacterial.

None of this is helping or is gonna save the rooster.

In my opinion ChickenCanoe, natural supplements are better to use. If you use unnatural supplements it can cause harmful chemicals to get into the chicken's body and cause other issues. Personally, my mom has health issues and has been the sickest patient in the US many times. The doctors in Mexico told her to get rid of all harmful chemicals and use natural products. Now, my entire home and her home is completely natural. If yall disagree, which is clear to see, that's ok! I am okay if you think unnatural supplements are better, it is my opinion and your opinion. we may agree to disagree.
Respectfully said, this conversation has grossly strayed off course and the last couple of pages is not helping an acutely ill bird. Everyone, please let us focus on narrowing down the problem systematically before tossing in natural and unnatural remedies.

Oh ok, yes I feed it to my chickens daily and they seem super healthy. I once had a chicken that had some purple tips. I did the above message and treated it with apple cider and everything and it seemed to help. I went to the vet and they didn't give it anything. (Told them not to.) Just because I don't want my chickens having unnatural things. It got better within a week and I am so thankful I didn't lose it. Yall are so sweet and I am so happy to have yall teach me more! Thanks!
