I recently got muscovys and my dog chased one in the river. After two days of swimming and floating trying to get her back in it hasn't worked. She's still alive. I saw her quaking on a fallen tree. Any ideas how to draw her in? If you swim near her she goes way too far away up or down stream.

So you have more Scovy's? do you have some extra fencing? might be able to set something up close to where she is hanging out or a dog X pen works really well set it up with one end open towards the river. put one of the Scoyv's that came with her inside towards the back in a dog crate of course so you don't lose another. then sit an wait. when she comes out of the water and waddles in to visit her friend wait till she is all the way in to the crate then very slowly move in and close up the gap[fence] once your in there walk towards her slowly remember they have sharp claws so you may want to wear long sleeves and gloves. Placing some feed close to the crate you have your duck in may also entice her in since she probably hasn't had a good meal.

The problem with that is the river is very deep. Fortunately her friends are accustomed to their home and allowed in the river now but she hasn't been around while they've been in there. And they absolutely don't like being herded to the river. She seems to stay around my property( smart bird for only having been in her home for 3 days) but the bank is really high on my side and there's only one spot she can get out.

I guess I'm gonna have to get the other ones in the water while I have her in site so she'll hopefully come over.

**** pugs always getting into trouble.

If she sees them it just may work.

I hope so. But I have to find her now. I saw her at 430am yesterday quaking standing on a fallen tree but haven't seen her since :(

Hope she is okay. as far as duck decoy maybe they use them to lure wild ducks in for hunting. [which doesn't seem fair but that's another story]

I got her. I had to swim to the other side scare her out of the brush and push her back to the access point on my side of the river(with the help of some one else). Thanks everyone. Goes to show that muscovys are super smart. I only had them for 3 days and she managed to stay right by my house on the other side of the river for 4 days. You wouldn't believe how happy her friends were to see her.
