Well I'm feeling really stupid and quite embarrassed but I accidentally got some liquid vitamins down into Emily's lungs. She is making a gurgling noise now.
I've been giving my dog some liquid medication and I used a different dropper for my chicken and didnt realize how much easier and faster the dropper dispenses medication. Not sure what to do. I brought her inside with me for the night so I can keep an eye on her. I feel horrible. Is there anything I can do?

She did cough afterwards but not violently I would say. So she could get an infection? What would be the signs of that? An infection in her lungs I'm guessing Thank you for chiming in. I dont think I can sleep very well tonight. I have her at the foot of my bed in a nice big cage that I built for emergencies

She is making her cute little chicken sounds and her tail is back up in the air. I brought her buddy Tabitha inside too to keep her company. She is eating which is a good sign. I put an eye dropper full of liquid down her throat so some of that went in to her lungs. Shes having some yogurt now too. She hasn't made a full sound "bock" yet so it's kind of hard yet to tell how she is. I'm not hearing the horrible gurgling sound like I did yesterday

Just listen for raspiness or something that would sound like respiratory infection over the next few days.

Droppers are harder to use when dosing a chicken. Syringes are easier to control. You can order baby syringes (1ml) online and Tractor Supply usually carries 3ml syringes. Depending on where you live, your pharmacy may also give you a few baby syringes for free.
You may find the information in this article helpful for giving oral medications:
