I just thought of this, but William kind of reminds me of what's-his-name from Legend of Zelda. You know, the little blonde dude who tried to save Zelda? The name isn't coming to me at the moment.

William stopped, turning swiftly towards the girl with wide eyes. He put his hands defensively on his sword hilt, just in case.
