Empty nest?

Was he in public school? The indoctrination to spread the wealth and everyone is owed something for free is on fire now...it has been building up since the late 70s..but wow is it bad now. I started out homeschooling..they went into public school for awhile..then I had to pull them all back out..it is REALLY bad.

My oldest fled the next 4 mths ago..and she REALLY regrets it..3 more to go.

My parents have been Empty Nesting it since 1980. They have had an entire life after kids. They had us young and they were young when we moved out. Enjoy Debi!

The best thing about the empty nest here is that it has stayed empty.

Empty that is except for a 3 month spell after our son and his then girlfriend broke up. They were living together at her parents' home.

After taking out his grief by clearing out two hedgerows and destroying all my equipment he moved to Pittsburg.

The Princess and I had our children while we were young, grew them up, educated them, and off into the world they went. That left us free to:

I can actually have alcohol in the frig and not worry about a minor drinking it.....it sure is nice. I do still worry and sad I don't see my son much though.

We made our son pay rent here because he was out of school and didn't go on to college. He did move in with his older sister who is pretty responsible and who he respects. She will get his butt in line to put it in a family friendly way. He was a complainer about chores also. I bet our food bill goes way down....

Debi - so will he always live in an apartment so he doesn't have to ever do yard work???

I am soooo confused! Here I thought you were adopting a little boy! Or was that someone else? As usual, I have probably confused you with some other Debi. That's why when I saw the title I kept thinking "How can she have an empty nest if she's got the little fellow she is adopting?"

But if the nest is truly empty, enjoy! You earned it!
