One of our emu chicks broke his leg yesterday and had to be put down. We're a bit put off by what happened yesterday and we aren't eager to get another chick. We tried putting the remaining chick with our baby goat to keep each other company but the goat started munching on his feathers.

If possible, we'd like to find a the perfect home for the chick. He was four weeks old Friday and he has been raised with and imprinted on people, dogs, and goats. We don't know his sex but we're willing to do a DNA test for the right people. We'd like to deliver the chick to his new home so we can make sure he'll have a buddy and be kept in an adequate enclosure behind at least 5 foot tall fencing. As far as pricing, all we're asking for is enough money to pay the gas and the DNA test if that's something you're interested in. We're willing to drive up to 3 hours from Archer, FL but will need to see a couple pictures of his future enclosure first.

We are in Archer FL and will be getting a pair of emu chicks in a few weeks from a local breeder. We have a small farm with other poultry, goats, and pigs. :)
