Hello,
Can anyone tell me if an emu dad will continue to sit on his eggs if they are infertile or not viable? The first egg was laid on April 5 and the last of the clutch on April 25. No sign of any hatching yet, no odor to suggest rotten eggs etc...
I don't want to disturb him but I am worried that he will continue to sit on his eggs until he gets sick or dies. I keep thinking that he knows best and that he would have stopped sitting on them if they are not viable but I am starting to get worried. He has food/water/shelter but I don't know when or if I should intervene to see what's going on.
