Emu Egg day 57

Hi!

This is my first attempt at hatching Emus and honestly I had no hope anything would come.

I've had the temp at the lower end at 35.7 and around day 50 I heard and felt some scratching and tapping.
I've yet to see a wiggle and we're now on day 57 with no pips but still an intermittent tapping inside the egg. What are the chances this little one hatches ok? It feels like it's dragging on forever

Exactly that, Elles. I've been on BYC about fifteen years. There used to be a vibrant and knowledgeable community of incubators here, discussing all manner of subjects

I'll be honest, I thought you meant incubators as the object, not people who incubate. Facebook groups seem more likely for information nowadays but a good % of what I've read on there has been people guessing rather than talking from experience unfortunately

I'm on the Rhea side of things and am building up info so that I can ID issues folks are having as well as practices that are verified to work rather than the level of guessing that goes on
