Hello everyone!
I've been incubating an emu egg for 49 days now. This is my last weighing day, and I'm concerned about the weight the egg's lost. He needed to shed off 89.1g, but his final weight loss is 97g. I'm worried he's lost too much. The egg is twitching and moving around when I talk to it, so I know there's definitely a baby in there.
Will he be okay? He'd been losing weight at a good and steady rate up until last week, when he suddenly spiked with a loss of 17g. I've been very careful with weighing him and watching the humidity, and I adjusted the humidity after having a small heart attack when I saw how much he'd lost.
Will my chick be okay? Or is he doomed? =/
